A steady period of development: 1978-1988
In 1978 Hedengren took over the representation of the JVC products, and due to the video boom sales were a success right from the beginning, which resulted in establishing a new department for home electronics in 1983. Now Hedengren had five divisions: electrotechnical products and professional electronics, household appliances, home electronics, automotive and industrial technology as well as the car battery, repair and service sector.
Managing Director Bror Johansson was appointed Counsellor of Commerce 8.7.1983.
Bror Johansson retired on a pension on 1st January 1987, but remained in the company as Chairman of the Board on a full-time basis. His successor as managing director was Björn Lönnberg, earlier financial director.
In May 1987 a company acquisition was concluded. Oy Feldt Ab, trading in the lighting market, was taken over by Hedengren to form the lighting department. Impressive architectural solutions were created in cooperation with lighting designers for business and public buildings as well as smaller installations for private homes.
